Alternative for: plastic-cased disposable razor blades

Switching to a safety razor will require you to buy razor blades - the good news is that these are both cheap and easy to recycle at end of life, unlike common disposable razors.

Packaging: Mixed paper

End of Life: Metal blade and paper packaging can be recycled

 Recommended by Isabel M.

Advantages...

  • 100% plastic free
  • Significantly cheaper

Disadvantages...

  • Razors need to be changed more often than common disposable razor heads
  • Only found these to order online (so far)

Costs...

Available in packs of 100, making the blades 9.9p each

    Where to Buy...

    Available from Amazon

    Tips...

    • Cut a slot opening in a can of soup (a non-lumpy variety!), drain the soup, wash and then use this to store all used razors in so they can safely be taken for recycling once the can is full
